

Mr. Dinan joined L&B Realty Advisors in 2014 and is responsible for multifamily acquisitions. Mr. Dinan has directed the placement of over $100 million in development joint venture equity. Within the firm, Mr. Dinan has also held a role in asset management, overseeing 2,000 multifamily units.
Prior to joining L&B, Mr. Dinan worked for Prescott Realty Group underwriting joint venture office and multifamily development and acquisition opportunities. Mr. Dinan began his career in real estate at Orix Capital Markets managing balance sheet assets. While at Orix, he participated in a $1.3 billion bulk sale of performing real estate assets, REO properties and commercial loans. The deal was one of the largest single real estate transactions of 2013.
Mr. Dinan graduated from the University of Oklahoma’s Price College of Business with a BBA in Finance. He is currently a member of the National Multifamily Housing Council and the Urban Land Institute.
Mr. Noland joined L&B in 2004 and is a member of the L&B Investment Committee. His responsibilities include sourcing, underwriting, negotiating, and closing commercial real estate investments. Mr. Noland has been responsible for the acquisitions and dispositions of properties valued at over $2.5 billion and totaling 7.2 million square feet.
His prior experience included working for Coldwell Banker Commercial, Provident Realty Advisors, and Novotny & Company. Mr. Noland’s prior experience includes appraisal, property tax and development.
Mr. Noland graduated from Baylor University with a BBA in Real Estate and Management. He is currently chair of an Urban Land Institute council, member of the International Council of Shopping Centers, and holds a Texas Real Estate License.
Mr. Patterson is responsible for helping manage one of the company’s separate accounts. He oversees acquisitions, dispositions, asset management, reporting, and financial analysis related to the account.
Prior to joining L&B, Mr. Patterson was a broker at Colliers International in Los Angeles, where he helped facilitate over $130 million of real estate transactions and was named Rookie of the Year as the company’s top producing young broker in 2007. Mr. Patterson left Colliers in 2012 to successfully start and run a company in South America until 2015, when he moved to Europe to pursue an international MBA.
Mr. Patterson received a Bachelor of Business Administration from University of Georgia and an MBA from INSEAD.
Mr. Roberto has 14 years of industry experience, comprised of asset management, acquisitions and dispositions, structured financings, and development. Mr. Roberto is a member of the L&B Management Committee.
Mr. Roberto joined L&B in 2016 and is responsible for the management of a $3.5B non-discretionary public pension client. His responsibilities include oversight of the acquisition, disposition, financing, asset management, construction management and returns of the portfolio as well as crafting new investment strategies.
Prior to joining L&B, Mr. Roberto worked as a Vice President at a discretionary value-add retail fund managing over $400 million of equity investments and three million square feet of retail, as well as, helping to institute a formal policies and procedures practice for the asset management group. Previously, Mr. Roberto worked as an Asset Manager for ORIX Capital Markets managing a $320 million portfolio of balance sheet assets across all product types.
Mr. Roberto received a BA in Biology from Southern Methodist University.
Mr. Formanek joined L&B in 2017 and has over 10 years of commercial real estate experience, which includes asset management, operations, acquisitions, and dispositions. Mr. Formanek has worked on a wide spectrum of Core, Value-add and Opportunistic real estate investments across multiple property types, but has focused primarily on Retail. He is responsible for assisting in the management of $2.4 billion of investments on behalf of a separate account client.
Prior to working at L&B, Mr. Formanek worked at a publicly traded real estate development company on a portfolio of 4.6 million square feet of retail, 3.3 million square feet of office, 1,500 multifamily units, and 600 hotel keys. His experience also includes the grand opening of two retail centers totaling 1.7 million square feet and leading the underwriting of the acquisition of over 1.2 million square feet of properties valued at $370 million.
Mr. Formanek earned a B.B.A in Real Estate Finance and a B.S. in Economics from Southern Methodist University. Mr. Formanek is a Commercial Retail Real Estate Professional (CRRP), on the ULI DFW Mixed Use Council, and part of the 2021 Associate Leadership Council (ALC) class of The Real Estate Council. He is a member of The Real Estate Council (TREC), International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), and Urban Land Institute (ULI).
Mr. Neufeld oversees management and coordination of development and infrastructure projects throughout L&B’s portfolio and directs the coordination and oversight of design and engineering evaluations for multiple development and construction projects for the firm. Mr. Neufeld assists L&B’s Asset Management team in the development of capital project budgeting, as well as the planning, contracting, oversight and inspection/monitoring processes for a variety of projects. He also supports the evaluation and underwriting of targeted acquisitions.
Prior to joining L&B in 2017, Mr. Neufeld was a Senior Associate for Pond, Robinson & Associates for four years, and Project Manager with Halff Associates for 23 years. During his 30 plus years of experience, he has been involved in all aspects of construction development including architectural and engineering design, inspection/oversight, property assessments, progress reporting, negotiation and competitive bidding.
Mr. Neufeld earned his Bachelor of Architecture, B.S., in Civil Engineering, an M.S. in Civil Engineering from Texas Tech University, and earned an M.B.A. from the University of Texas at Dallas. Mr. Neufeld is a licensed Professional Engineer, a registered Architect, and a registered Interior Designer in the state of Texas. He is also certified by the Structural Engineering Certification Board, is a LEED accredited professional, and a WELL accredited professional.
Mrs. Hoffman has 13 years of industry experience, comprised of asset management, acquisitions, dispositions, structured financings, accounting, and development. Mrs. Hoffman has worked in all commercial property types.
Mrs. Hoffman joined L&B in 2018 and oversees a portfolio of office and industrial assets. Mrs. Hoffman’s portfolio is comprised of nearly 1 billion square feet. The portfolio includes projects in various major metropolitan areas including Miami, Dallas, and San Francisco.
Prior to joining L&B, Mrs. Hoffman worked as Vice President for a family office real estate fund performing asset management and oversight of approximately 27 real estate investments with a total market capitalization of $640 million with responsibilities including acquisitions, joint ventures, dispositions, portfolio reporting and business development. Mrs. Hoffman also worked as an Asset Manager at ORIX Capital Markets in REO Asset Management and was involved in the sale of a $1.3 billion real estate portfolio sale. In addition, Mrs. Hoffman began her career at Deloitte & Touche, LLP in the real estate audit practice providing audit services for multiple public real estate funds.
Mrs. Hoffman is a member of CREW, Commercial Real Estate Women and was a member of ALC which is The Real Estate Council’s Associate Leadership Council. Mrs. Hoffman received a Masters of Finance and Bachelors of Science in Accounting from Texas A&M University. She maintains an active CPA license in the state of Texas.
Mr. Smith is the managing partner and is responsible for strategic management. Mr. Smith chairs the Management Committee and serves as vice-chair of L&B’s Investment Committee.
Mr. Smith joined the Dallas law firm, Winstead as a real estate tax attorney, where he worked until he joined L&B in 1981.
Mr. Smith has served as a board member of the Pension Real Estate Association, the United States Chamber of Commerce Economic Policy Committee, Institutional Real Estate Clearinghouse, and the National Conference on Public Employee Retirement Systems (1994-1998).
Other professional activities include: sole trustee to State Treasurer of Michigan, member of a three person task force selected to deliver comments to SEC on proposed amendments to Investment Advisors Act of 1940, and University of Texas-Task Force member (alternatives related to endowment lands). Mr. Smith is currently a member of the Texas State Bar, Dallas Bar Association, the Bar of the District of Columbia Court of Appeals and served as Mayor Pro-Tem of Highland Park, Texas (2004-2008).
Mr. Smith earned a BBA degree and a JD degree both from Southern Methodist University.
Scott has over 20 years of commercial real estate industry experience, including asset management, joint venture development, operations, leasing, and dispositions. Scott has worked across a wide spectrum of Core, Value-add and Opportunistic real estate investments, including all commercial property types. He joined L&B Realty in 2018.
Scott oversees the multifamily asset management department, which includes over 7,000 units with over $3.0B in market value. The portfolio includes stabilized core assets as well as development projects located in major markets throughout the country.
Prior to joining L&B, Scott worked as Managing Director at ORIX USA where he led the asset management group in the strategic planning, leasing and disposition of a nationwide portfolio of office, retail, industrial and multifamily assets with a cumulative market value in excess of $4.0B.
Scott received a BA in Business from Benedictine College and an MBA from the University of Notre Dame.
Mr. Plumlee is the senior executive responsible for overseeing investments and is one of the firm’s two partners. Mr. Plumlee also serves as the chairman of L&B’s Investment Committee and a member of L&B’s Management Committee.
Before joining L&B in 1984, Mr. Plumlee practiced real estate law with the Dallas firm of Strasburger & Price.
Mr. Plumlee received his BBA degree in accounting from the University of Texas and a JD degree from Southern Methodist University. He is a licensed real estate broker in the state of Texas, and a member of the State Bar of Texas.
Mr. Benyo joined L&B in 2016 with over 15 years of real estate and finance experience. He is responsible for assisting in the management of over $3.0 billion of investments on behalf of separate account clients. Mr. Benyo has experience in Core, Value-add and Opportunistic strategies for all property types.
Prior to joining L&B, Mr. Benyo held several positions with Prescott Realty Group where he oversaw management and redevelopment of over 1.6 million square feet of office space, the development of 800 multi-family units and responsible for sourcing new opportunities. Mr. Benyo began his career in corporate finance working for two Fortune 500 companies where he was responsible for financially structuring IT outsourcing and managed services opportunities.
Mr. Benyo has a Master of Business Administration from the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University and a B.S. in Economics from Grinnell College. He is a member of Urban Land Institute, Texas Real Estate Council (TREC), and International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).
Mr. Burdi has over 25 years of leadership and experience in portfolio and asset management, debt and equity investments, acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures and investor relations. Mr. Burdi has worked on all real estate product types, including hospitality.
Mr. Burdi serves as L&B’s head of asset management for the office and industrial group with a total value of over $2.9B. In this role, Mr. Burdi is responsible for the strategic direction and performance for the portfolio. He also oversees a portfolio of industrial, office and hotel product on behalf of three non-discretionary pension plan clients.
Prior to joining L&B in 2016, Mr. Burdi worked for several private equity firms including Senior Vice President of Asset Management at Goldman Sachs. Prior to joining Goldman Sachs, he was hired by The Blackstone Group as the Executive Vice President/Chief Financial Officer of Extended Stay Hotels to focus on the recapitalization and subsequent disposition of the company. In addition, Mr. Burdi was engaged by The Blackstone Group to perform acquisitions on behalf of La Quinta Inns & Suites and to serve as Vice President of Asset Management for Equity Office Properties. In this capacity Mr. Burdi was responsible for a portfolio of 42 properties (9.6M square feet) with a value of $1.3B.
Previously, Mr. Burdi held senior executive roles in asset management and finance with JER Partners, Heitman and JMB Institutional Realty Corporation.
Mr. Burdi received a MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Denver.
Mr. Castillejos joined L&B in 2008 and is responsible for managing over $1 billion of investments across all property types on behalf of separate account clients. His experience includes formulating and implementing investment strategy, client communication and reporting, strategic financial analysis, performance measurement, and oversight of acquisition, disposition, financing, and asset management functions.
Prior to joining L&B, Mr. Castillejos held several positions with KeyBank Real Estate Capital and ORIX Capital Markets within the CMBS platform. He was responsible for underwriting real estate backed debt for inclusion in a securitization and managed a loan portfolio where he processed modification requests within a servicing portfolio of $100 billion.
Mr. Castillejos received a Bachelor of Business Administration from Baylor University and a Master of Science in Finance from Southern Methodist University, Cox School of Business.
Ms. Crown joined L&B Realty Advisors in 1994 and serves on the firm’s Management Committee and Investment Committee. She leads portfolio management of client accounts directing investment strategies and portfolio construction of over $3 billion in core, value add and development strategies. Oversight of the client teams includes the acquisition, disposition, financing, valuation, asset management and construction management functions. She also oversees multiple joint venture relationships and the structuring of partnership documents.
Previously, Ms. Crown served as Controller and Director of Investment Performance for The Hampstead Group, a private equity real estate investment firm, focused on opportunistic strategies. She started her career in public accounting with McGladrey & Pullen and Laventhol & Horwath with a focus on real estate partnerships, development and operating companies.
Ms. Crown is a Certified Public Accountant and received her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of West Florida in 1985. She is a member of the Urban Land Institute, Pension Real Estate Association, National Council of Real Estate Investment Fiduciaries and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Ms. Curtis joined L&B in 1979 in the accounting department as a divisional controller. In 1997, Ms. Curtis joined L&B’s asset management department. She is currently responsible for an industrial portfolio of six projects totaling 5.5 million square feet located in California, Tennessee, Mississippi, Missouri, and Kansas. She has extensive experience with office and industrial assets and she has also participated in medical, retail and development projects over her career. Ms. Curtis is responsible for leading the property management and leasing teams in setting and implementing strategic property level goals. Ms. Curtis is also involved in disposition, financing, and construction management functions as it relates to her assigned assets.
Ms. Curtis is a member of CREW, Commercial Real Estate Women.
Mr. Fitzgerald has over 10 years of experience in the real estate industry across multiple property types both in the United States and abroad. Drue currently manages assets valued over $650 million across a broad range of property types. Notable examples of his recent work include a high-street retail aggregation strategy in Boston, a $100M+ redevelopment of a Manhattan office building and creating the first tradable credits for developing all market rate housing in San Francisco, where he is developing over 370 units. He also works with acquisitions on retail, multifamily, and joint venture opportunities.
Prior to joining L&B in 2013 Mr. Fitzgerald worked for a division of Dubai World sourcing real estate development opportunities. He is a graduate of Dartmouth College where he earned his BA in Economics.
Ms. Forsythe currently oversees a portfolio of joint venture retail and mixed-use development assets and is a member of the firm’s Investment Committee. Since joining L&B in 1988, she has been responsible for the sourcing and underwriting of retail acquisitions, asset management and disposition of select retail and office properties, feasibility analyses for mall and open-air retail expansions and/or redevelopments, oversight of joint venture development, and consultation/valuation assignments for retail and mixed-use assets with an aggregate value of over $3 billion.
During her tenure at L&B, Ms. Forsythe has underwritten and closed numerous retail acquisitions. In addition, she has both assumed responsibility for existing joint venture developments in progress and sourced new joint venture development opportunities for numerous retail and mixed-use assets, including office, lifestyle, power center, grocery-anchored, and street-front retail properties. In discharging her responsibilities, she has underwritten the feasibility of proposed development projects and plans, structured and/or re-structured joint venture agreements, directed financing activities and negotiated debt restructuring solutions, underwritten and monitored project costs and budgets, completed dispositions, and overseen all major decisions related to the developments, including the ongoing review and approval of draw requests, proposed leases, third party provider contracts, development plan/budget revisions, financing activities, equity contributions, and operating budgets.
Prior to joining L&B, Ms. Forsythe was an analyst in the Dallas corporate office of LaSalle Partners. While with LaSalle, she participated in the underwriting of office, retail, hotel, and multifamily properties.
Ms. Forsythe graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a BBA in Real Estate and Urban Land Development and a concentration in Finance. She is currently a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers.
Ms. Hanson is the senior executive responsible for overseeing technology strategy, investment financial reporting, investment accounting and related internal controls functions. Ms. Hanson also serves as Chief Compliance Officer, Chairman of L&B’s Business Continuity Committee and a member of L&B’s Management and Culture Committees.
Since Ms. Hanson began her career with L&B in 1996, she has served as Field Property Controller, Divisional Controller and Vice President of Investment Accounting where she oversaw accounting policies, procedures and reporting controls. She has 27 years of real estate accounting experience including audit & tax oversight, due diligence & pro-ration management, GAAP assurance, specialty client reporting, cash flow projection, budget preparation, entity & corporate compliance, investment return preparation, actuarial analysis and multiple software conversions & implementations.
Prior to joining L&B, Ms. Hanson worked at JPI as Senior Staff Accountant in Construction Accounting and later as Senior Financial Accountant in Ownership Reporting.
Ms. Hanson earned a BBA Degree in Accounting from Stephen F. Austin State University. She is a Certified Public Accountant and Chartered Global Management Accountant and a member of the National Council of Real Estate Investment Fiduciaries, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Mr. McCoy is responsible for a portfolio of 11 office buildings totaling 3.1 million square feet.
Mr. McCoy joined L&B in 2009 and brings 30 years of experience in commercial real estate to the L&B team. Prior to joining L&B, Mr. McCoy was the Director of Acquisitions for Moore & Associates, a Washington, DC based developer. Mr. McCoy previously was a portfolio manager for Lincoln Property Company overseeing a portfolio of office, industrial and retail properties.
Mr. McCoy has a Masters Degree in Finance from the University of Maryland, and a Bachelors Degree from Georgetown University. Mr. McCoy is a licensed Real Estate Broker in D.C., Maryland and Virginia.
Mr. Metten is the portfolio manager for a commingled fund and an institutional separate account client. His responsibilities for those two accounts include managing all client communications, formulation and implementation of investment strategy, the acquisition and asset/construction management process as well as managing client equity and joint venture partners. Mr. Metten previously served as the portfolio manager for a private client’s real estate portfolio with investments in excess of $500 million. Mr. Metten serves on the firm’s Investment Committee and Management Committee.
Before joining the portfolio management group, Mr. Metten was responsible for sourcing, underwriting, negotiating and closing office, retail, multifamily and industrial projects and provided asset management expertise to several institutional separate accounts and fund clients.
Prior to joining L&B in 2000, Mr. Metten held various corporate finance and real estate positions in both public and private companies with his primary focus in areas such as site selection, mergers & acquisitions, debt financing and analysis.
Mr. Metten graduated from Texas A&M University with a BBA in Finance. Mr. Metten is currently a member of the National Council of Real Estate Investment Fiduciaries, Pension Real Estate Association, and Texas Association of Public Retirement Systems.
Ms. Mullis joined the firm in 1995 and is a member of L&B’s Investment and Management Committees. She has managed over $2 billion in real estate assets and joint ventures for L&B Pension Fund clients, both discretionary and non-discretionary. Ms. Mullis has extensive experience with core and non-core strategies across all four major property types as well as senior living, medical office and student housing.
In her role as portfolio manager, Ms. Mullis is responsible for client communication, formulating and implementing portfolio strategy, and acting as the client advocate. She provides oversight of the acquisition, disposition, financing, asset management and construction management functions.
During her tenure at L&B, Ms. Mullis has managed over 50 transactions (acquisitions and dispositions) for her client portfolios. Many of these transactions were joint venture relationships where she structured and/or re-structured partnership operating agreements, directed financing activities and negotiated debt restructuring and solutions.
Prior to joining L&B, Ms. Mullis was an accountant at Prentiss Properties. Ms. Mullis is a Certified Public Accountant and earned her BBA degree from the University of Texas at Arlington. She is a member of several professional organizations including National Council of Real Estate Investment Fiduciaries, Pension Real Estate Association, Texas Association of Public Employee Retirement Systems, and Urban Land Institute.
Ms. Mussell brings to L&B over 20 years of experience in the real estate industry. As an acquisition officer for L&B, Ms. Mussell sources, underwrites, negotiates and closes multifamily and commercial investments nationwide, with a focus on multifamily and retail acquisitions and joint venture developments. Since joining L&B in 1994, Ms. Mussell has been responsible for the acquisition of investments valued at nearly $2 billion. She also assists the firm with strategic planning and special client projects.
Prior to joining L&B, Ms. Mussell was an asset manager and marketing director in the REO department for Amwest Savings Association, a Texas-based savings and loan association, where she was responsible for the asset management and disposition of over 100 real estate assets including commercial, residential, platted developments and raw land.
Ms. Mussell obtained her BBA degree in Finance from the University of Texas at Arlington. She is a member of the Urban Land Institute and the International Council of Shopping Centers, is a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM), and has a Texas Real Estate License.
Mrs. Dinan is responsible for overseeing, managing, and implementing all aspects of human resources including employee benefits, recruiting for open positions, retention and development of employees by assessing and creating growth opportunities within L&B, implementing strategic total compensation packages, setting policy and procedures, ensuring L&B compliance pursuant to state and federal employment laws, and other various aspects of human resources. Mrs. Dinan serves on the L&B culture, management, leadership, and sustainability committees. Holly is also the Deputy Compliance Officer for L&B.
Mrs. Dinan graduated from The University of Oklahoma with a degree in Human Relations. She joined L&B in 2011. She is also an active member of Dallas HR, Worldwide Employee Benefits Dallas Chapter, and the Society of Human Resources Management.
Mrs. Shi is experienced with both separate account and commingled fund portfolio management involving all major property types and investment strategies, with past and current assignments over $2.7 billion gross asset value for both domestic pension fund as well as foreign private equity clients.
Mrs. Shi has lead the company’s business development efforts in raising capital from overseas. She is also responsible for overall portfolio strategy, implementation and oversight in her capacity as Portfolio Manager for a separate account client with high return strategy. Since 2015, Mrs. Shi has sourced, structured and closed more than $700 million Joint Venture development projects across the U.S. with major development partners.
Mrs. Shi is a CFA Charter holder and a Certified Commercial Investment Manager (CCIM). She is a member of NCREIF and PREA. She was actively involved with NCREIF PREA Reporting Standards Performance and Risk workgroup and chaired the Key Leverage Measures Task Force, with its work adopted as part of NCREIF PREA reporting and compliance standards.
Mrs. Shi joined L&B in 2000. She earned a BA degree in Economics from Renmin University of China in 1998, and a MA degree in Economics en Route to Ph. D. from Southern Methodist University in 2000.
Mr. Smith is responsible for investor and consultant relations, strategic relationships, and product development for L&B’s fund and separate account strategies.
A member of the Management Committee, he has held various acquisitions and asset management positions within the firm over 20 years, most recently having led the office/industrial asset management group, overseeing investment performance for $3.5 billion in office and industrial assets. Mr. Smith has extensive acquisitions, dispositions, loan negotiation and valuation experience over 26 years of institutional property investment experience.
Prior to joining L&B, Mr. Smith was a founding member and managing principal of Humphrey & Smith, L.L.C., a commercial real estate appraisal firm in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. He has served as Vice President of the Board of Directors for the Boys and Girls Club of Northwest Florida and as a member of the Board of Adjustment for the City of Destin, Florida. Mr. Smith is a member of the Pension Real Estate Association and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Central Florida.
Ms. Johnson has been with L&B since 1987. She has over thirty years of experience in real estate accounting including fund and separate account client financial and performance reporting. She is responsible for supporting marketing efforts through comprehensive reporting to prospective clients and consultants.
Prior to joining L&B, Ms. Johnson worked at Yancey-Camp Companies, a Dallas commercial real estate company, as a property accountant. She is an active member of the National Council of Real Estate Investment Fiduciaries.
Ms. Johnson earned a BA in Political Science, MS in Accounting, and a Master of Public Administration, all from the University of North Texas.
Barbara has 17 years of industry experience, comprised of portfolio management, financing, acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, programmatic investments, and construction development. She has worked in retail, office, multifamily, and industrial asset classes across the U.S.
She joined L&B in 2004, and currently manages over $3.6B in AUM of assets, working exclusively on a non-discretionary account as Assistant Portfolio Manager. Her responsibilities include oversight of the asset management and construction management functions to ensure compliance with client guidelines and investment plans. She also works closely with L&B’s internal engineering staff on development assets. She has overseen the construction development of $1.3M square feet of office/industrial buildings and over 1,400 multifamily units.
Barbara received her BS in Business Administration from the University of Texas at Dallas.
Mr. Aburrow has 15 years of industry experience, comprised of asset management, acquisitions, dispositions, leasing and development. He has worked in retail, office and industrial asset classes.
Mr. Aburrow joined L&B in 2018 and oversees a portfolio of retail assets. His portfolio has an aggregate asset value of over $500 million. The portfolio includes projects in various metropolitan areas including Dallas, Seattle, and Houston.
Prior to joining L&B Mr. Aburrow worked for a Dallas based development and acquisitions company focusing on retail. Mr. Aburrow also worked at a discretionary value-add retail fund managing over $400 million of equity investments and three million square feet of retail.
Mr. Aburrow received a BS in Economics from Southern Methodist University. Mr. Aburrow is a Certified Commercial Investment Member (“CCIM”), a licensed real estate broker in the State of Texas and an active member of ICSC.
Ms. Cannon is responsible for investor reporting for the L&B Core Income Partners, L.P. and the oversight of the Investment Accounting Department. She has thirteen years of experience as a Divisional Controller with L&B, which included consolidating financial statements per legal entity document definitions, providing monthly, quarterly and year-end client reporting per the client investment management agreement, due diligence review and pro-ration preparation, reviewing tax returns, and coordinating, assisting with and ensuring accuracy of the property budget process.
Prior to joining L&B in 2007, Ms. Cannon worked at McGladrey & Pullen, LLP as a supervisor in the real estate audit practice. There she was involved in audits of real estate partnerships, multifamily development property, multifamily and commercial operating property and commercial tenant advisory firms.
Ms. Cannon earned a BA degree in Accounting from Wartburg College. She is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Mark is a member of L&B’s acquisitions team where he screens potential acquisitions and is a resource for less experienced members of the team. Prior to rejoining the acquisitions team, he managed a portfolio of approximately $2.5 billion on behalf of a non-discretionary pension plan client. His responsibilities included oversight of the acquisition, disposition, financing, asset management and construction management functions to ensure compliance with client guidelines and investment plans. Prior to joining L&B in 1988, Mr. Faraldo was Vice President of Republic Bank of Dallas, where he handled Planning and Product Development for the Real Estate Banking Group, Senior Analyst at Aetna Life & Casualty, and Assistant Vice President at Maryland National Bank.
Mr. Faraldo earned his BS/BA from Bucknell University where he graduated with a degree in accounting.
Ms. Edge has 12 years of commercial real estate experience involving asset management, loan workouts, dispositions, and appraising. Ms. Edge has worked in all commercial property types but has specialized in multifamily and senior housing.
Ms. Edge joined L&B in 2018 and is responsible for a portfolio of multifamily and senior housing assets totaling over 3,400 units. The portfolio includes projects in various stages of development as well as stabilized assets in major metropolitan areas including Chicago, Dallas/Fort Worth, Denver and Houston.
Prior to joining L&B, Ms. Edge worked as an Assistant Vice President at Hudson Advisors, a subsidiary of Lone Star Funds. There she managed and sold a rolling portfolio of 15+ commercial assets worth nearly $1B. Previously, Ms. Edge worked at Integra Realty Resources as a senior housing appraiser.
Ms. Edge received her bachelor’s degree in Finance with a real estate emphasis from Texas Tech University.
Mr. Ellis joined L&B in 2014 and has over 15 years of commercial real estate experience comprised of asset management, acquisitions, dispositions, development, and financing. Mr. Ellis has worked in multiple commercial property types including retail, office and hospitality.
Mr. Ellis has worked with investors and joint venture partners in the acquisition, asset management and disposition of geographically diverse portfolios and has experience in Core, Value-add and Opportunistic real estate investments for multiple property types. Mr. Ellis is the co-head of the retail asset management department and is responsible for the management of over 2.8 million square feet of retail and office space valued at over $2.5 billion. The portfolio includes projects in various metropolitan areas including New York City, Chicago, Atlanta, Harrisburg and McLean.
Prior to joining L&B, Mr. Ellis worked for ERP Funds as a Vice President of Asset Management and Acquisitions where he over saw 1.2 million square feet of office space and 450 hotel keys. He was responsible for analyzing potential business ventures as well as developing and executing growth and operations improvement strategies for ERP Funds. Mr. Ellis also worked with the investment team in all aspects of the investment process including acquisitions, potential investment opportunities, asset management, deal analysis, due diligence, and deal execution. He has proven success at retaining tenants, negotiating leases, improving bottom line and increasing value.
Mr. Ellis holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Dallas and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Alabama. He is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).
Mrs. Richey helps oversee management and coordination of development and infrastructure projects throughout L&B’s portfolio and is active in the coordination and oversight of design and engineering evaluations for multiple development and construction projects throughout L&B’s portfolio. Mrs. Richey assists L&B’s Asset Management team in the development of capital project budgeting, as well as the planning, contracting, oversight and inspection/monitoring processes for a variety of projects. Mrs. Richey also helps supports the evaluation and underwriting of targeted acquisitions. Mrs. Richey is Chair of L&B’s Responsible Investment Committee and is involved in the development and implementation of sustainable practices and projects throughout L&B’s portfolio.
Prior to joining L&B in 2017, Mrs. Richey was a Project Coordinator with GFF for four years, where she assisted in all phases of design and construction on multifamily, mixed-use, and church renovation projects.
Mrs. Richey earned her Master of Architecture from Kansas State University. Mrs. Richey is a registered Architect and Interior Designer in the State of Texas. She is a member of USGBC and holds a LEED Green Associate certification. She is a NCARB Licensed Professional and a member of the Construction Specifications Institute with a Construction Document Technology certification. Mrs. Richey is also a member of the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) Architectural Registration Exam (ARE) Task Force Committee.
Ms. Hartson is responsible for all Information Systems and Technology at L&B which includes setting and implementing hardware and software strategy and policies. It includes managing our ECM, network and cloud infrastructure, systems security, data warehouse as well as all overseeing software development, automation, reporting and analytic design.
Ms. Hartson joined L&B in 2002. Her background brings 30 years in the I.T. industry, 3 years in Accounting, and 3 in Human Resources. Ms. Hartson began her career with TU Electric. She owned and operated a PC Consulting business and then worked many years for TXI-Chaparral Steel, holding such positions as: Senior Operations Analyst, Manager of Terminal Services, Manager of NT Support, NT Administrator, and PC/LAN Manager.
Ms. Hartson graduated from Tarleton State University with a BBA in Management, and an MBA in Business Administration. She is an MCSE (Microsoft Certified System Engineer), CCA (Citrix Certified Administrator) and CNA (Certified Netware Administrator).
Ms. Huss began her career with L&B in 1996 as a Staff Accountant in Investment Accounting. In addition to her current position as Vice President of Corporate Accounting she is also responsible for the oversight of Payroll and Treasury Management. She has 27 years of experience in accounting including tax return review and filing, audit oversight and preparation, cash flow projection, budget preparation, payroll processing and treasury management.
Prior to joining L&B in 1996, Ms. Huss worked as a property accountant for Subsidiary Asset Management, a contractor for the Resolution Trust Corporation.
Ms. Huss earned a BBA Degree in Accounting from Texas A&M University – Commerce.
