Stephen B. O’Brien is responsible for new business development targeting institutional investors and high net worth individuals for participation in L&B’s funds and separate accounts.

Before re-joining L&B in 2004, Mr. O’Brien spent 20 years at David L. Babson & Company where he served in various capacities including sales, client service and consultant relations. In addition to his most recent position as managing director of marketing and sales, O’Brien also served as managing director of Babson-Stewart Ivory International, a Babson affiliated investment firm in Edinburgh, Scotland.

From 1984 through 1995 Mr. O’Brien held the office of executive vice president of Lehndorff & Babson Real Estate Council. Coincidentally in 1995, Lehndorff and Babson became L&B Realty Advisors when L&B purchased the Babson partnership.

He is an active member of the National Conference of Public Employees Retirement Systems (NCPERS) and the Pension Real Estate Association (PREA).

After receiving his bachelor’s degree from Williams College, Mr. O’Brien served in the United States Navy aboard the USS Chilton (APA 38) out of Norfolk, Virginia.
